Meet the team

Dr. Daniella Curcio, PhD

I'm a Professor of Anatomy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and at the Yeshiva University School of Dental Medicine, in New York. Born in Brazil, I am first daughter of two physicians who followed their dreams to earn their medical degrees in Brazil in the 1960s and fought to put me and my two siblings through school. My sister is a family doctor and my brother a researcher and biology professor.

I stand on the shoulders of giants. Mentors, friends, like-minded and like-hearted people who stand for the same value and kindle the same belief: that together, we go further.

Here are some of the stars that had shed their light across diverse classrooms and venues through years of joyful and difficult times, learning, connecting, elevating people, since 2013.

I am the founder of something that started as a gathering of friends and colleagues, and has since grown into this global initiative.
So here we are, Building Bridges.
